Jonathan M. Werner is a Shareholder in the Firm’s Santa Ana office and is a member of the Employment Practice Group. He focuses his practice exclusively in labor and employment law, where he represents and counsels primarily management in a variety of contexts, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, trade secret, unfair competition and breach of contract matters.
Jonathan litigates in both state and federal courts as well as before state and federal agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the United States Department of Labor, the National Labor Relations Board, the California Department of Fair Employment & Housing, the Employment Development Department, Cal/OSHA and the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement.
Jonathan also regularly counsels employers regarding terminations, mass layoffs and plant closings, disciplinary matters, harassment and discrimination complaints and legal compliance with the many federal, state and local laws and regulations that affect the employment relationship.
He has extensive experience drafting employment agreements, complex compensation plans, severance agreements, employee handbooks and other employment policies.
Jonathan has authored several articles on current trends in labor and employment law, and frequently conducts management seminars and training sessions for executives and human resources professionals in all aspects of labor and employment law.
